Washington, DC – The Hamilton – Last night was a double whammy. Photographing one of my top 5 bands in one of my top 5 venues. The Hamilton is state of the art and top notch. EKB is a super group of talent. Put those two things together and you know that the evening is going to pop off right from the start.
I had the pleasure of going out on the road with EKB in April of 2017 and got to know these guys, and girl, pretty well. From the best pre show huddles, to endless jams, this group of musicians knows how to bring the heat with all of their heart and soul. Eric has been one of my guitar idols since I started playing guitar seriously in my late teens. His effortless ability to move around the neck with his eyes closed shows how well practiced and entranced he is with his instrument. Since the forming of the band, I haven’t been able to stop listening to the debut album “Blood from a Stone”, from beginning to end every time I drop the needle on my turntable. Everyone should pick up a copy, study it, and make sure you absolutely go see this band when they come to a festival or venue near you!!!
