How much do I love Cris Jacobs? Endlessly. This guy has inspired me as a guitar player and songwriter since I was 18 years old. I went from being a fan, to a worker, to a friend. But I never stopped being a fan. To have him at my work (The Mann Center) was so amazing. He kicked off the day at the Outlaw Music Festival. Im currently in my fourth season of shooting for The Mann Center - I never thought I would have a job at a venue so large. Im not complaining. Its exposed me to a world I didn't know, and so many bands I wouldn't have been in front of otherwise. This small gallery isn't even the tip of the iceberg. Welcome to Baltimore, MD newest music venue - full of beer, kind hearted humans and even more beer. Ive been working with these guys since day 1 in some sort of way. I've done their photography, ive been a bar back, ive bar tended, ive canned beer... and now i get to be the photographer for the next best thing to happen to this city. Narrowing down a years worth of photos is not something I prefer to do....ever. But every year I spend a few days looking through all my edited work with the intention of maybe breaking down the thousands to 200 great edits. This year after days of staring at said work, I finally came up with a batch of 154. After a few more days, lots of more photo shoots, countless hours of editing and a half dozen five hour energies, I sat back down to navigate through this mess of photos one last time.
