Biggest headling show of their career!! I can't make it to all the P4 shows like I did in the beginning. Mainly because my homies have blown up and are traveling all over the country (and some international gigs) slaying the jamband scene and putting Baltimore, MD on the map. Since moving to Philadelphia, I have had to make the drive or train to DC to photograph shows for clients and clubs. This one was surely not something I was going to miss. (more…)

How much do I love Cris Jacobs? Endlessly. This guy has inspired me as a guitar player and songwriter since I was 18 years old. I went from being a fan, to a worker, to a friend. But I never stopped being a fan. To have him at my work (The Mann Center) was so amazing. He kicked off the day at the Outlaw Music Festival. Im currently in my fourth season of shooting for The Mann Center - I never thought I would have a job at a venue so large. Im not complaining. Its exposed me to a world I didn't know, and so many bands I wouldn't have been in front of otherwise. This small gallery isn't even the tip of the iceberg. It's been a lot of fun working for Krasno this past year or so - I've gotten to see some amazing music and travel to some great places (check past blog posts for the 5 night run we did last spring) . This past monday in New York is one of those cool places. The Blue Note is one of those places that everyone should experience. And DAMN did I pick a good show to do so. Eric Krasno and Friends is: Nigel Hall on Keys, Cory Henry, Chris Loftlin on Bass and Louis Cato on Drums - with special guest second show, Jon Batiste. This group of guys put on one of the most musically intense shows I've ever had the pleasure of seeing. With it being a seated and tabled venue. I actually was able to enjoy a lot of the music and wasn't stuck running around the venue to get to the next spot. (more…)

From Soulive to Lettuce and every sit in between - Eric Krasno has been one of my favorite guitars players since jam bands woke me from a musical slumber. Narrowing down a years worth of photos is not something I prefer to do....ever. But every year I spend a few days looking through all my edited work with the intention of maybe breaking down the thousands to 200 great edits. This year after days of staring at said work, I finally came up with a batch of 154. After a few more days, lots of more photo shoots, countless hours of editing and a half dozen five hour energies, I sat back down to navigate through this mess of photos one last time.
