Every year us Baltimorians are blessed to have our hometown hero play the music of Jerry Garcia at our beloved 8×10 Club i Federal Hill. This year felt like something a bit more special than the average performance. With two SOLD OUT nights and a packed house the night before in D.C, dead heads and Jerry fans packed in the club and let it all out.
The hardest part for me every year is that its usually the night before Christmas eve. So attempting to behave to avoid a hang over the next day is near impossible. None the less, we always go and throw down our best dance moves until that last note rings out of Chris’ guitar. The band, again, was filled with some heavy hitters. Dave Markowitz (The Bridge) on bass, Ed Hough (Smooth kentucky) on drums, John Ginty (Dixie Chicks) on B3 organ, and Mookie Siegel (RatDog, NRPS) on piano and Cris Jacobs on the guitar. This band has no limits and can twist and turn the music into direction I never thought were possible.
Every year this sells out and still, there are people calling the club, out side with a finger in the air, waiting for that miracle to catch the years most desired show in Baltimore. Cannot wait until next year!!!
