Every now and then someone reaches out to me to photograph something for them, and I’ve never met the client before – This is one of those situations. What made this pretty special for me is that he found me on Instagram. Most of my business is found via word of mouth, a friend of a friend, etc. But for a total stranger to see my work on social media and hire me to capture such a important day in their life….damn does that make me feel good.
I arrived at Ladew Gardens around the same time as Michael and made my way to the area we had discussed for this surprise engagement. These types of shoots are usually hard because I know the people or they know me. In this case, neither one of them had ever actually seen me in person. So I was able to stand in plain site, acting like I was taking pictures of things around me. Once he was down on one knee, it was game on. After some tears were shed, kisses and hugs were made, we walked around the property and created some beautiful photograph in the blooming garden.
Im very thankful to have people trust me with such a huge task like this. Makes all the years of hard work and hustle seem worth it. Congrats Michael and Jacqueline!!
